Mikhail Bulgakov 's magical masterpiece of literary protest, The Master and Margarita, which was completed just before his death in 1940 but not published in full in Russia until 1973. James Woodall explores the book and examines Bulgakov's experience of surviving as a writer under Stalin. With readings by Brendan Charleson.
